Cover: 1st Draft

These are my first 2 drafts for my magazine cover in which I followed the main conventions of animal magazines with the main cover image being an animal and the use of eye-catching coverlines that convey a lot of emotion.

I used Canva to make these covers and came up with these coverlines based on research done online and reading articles that dealt with animal issues and choose this image to be the main cover as I feel it draws a lot of attention due to it being a close-up image and being able to look in the alligator's eyes. The few changes I made were minor details that I wanted to play with to see if I liked it more such as flipping the image and composition of the coverlines as well as changing the font color of the masthead.
