This post will be showing the final images I have decided on using for my magazine and explain my process behind choosing them.
Magazine Cover Photo:

For all of these photos, I edited them using the features on the iPhone such as cropping, adding filters, and being able to adjust specific settings like exposure, contrast, and saturation just to name a few. Some pictures had more dramatic changes like the noir photo, the alligator swimming in the water, and the ducks looking into the camera as I really wanted to capture a certain mood with each of these whiles for the others I wanted to keep them more natural for the viewer. I choose the close-up of the alligator for the magazine cover as I felt it would catch people's attention and best match the title of Crying Critters due to the picture of the dead alligator floating on its back not being clear enough to put as the main cover image.
During my latest photoshoot at the Everglades although I was not able to get all the photos I had planned from the shot list I made I was able to get some photos that I wanted and was proud of. While the photoshoot itself was a nice and calming experience I did feel a little underwhelmed with the pictures I had gotten at first due to the limitation of not being able to get detailed and clear images of animals as they were either not found or too far. Another issue was it was a cloudy day so the photos were darker than expected. On the other hand, being at the Everglades did present new opportunities and allowed me to get photos I didn't expect such as the dead alligator. Luckily, I was able to fix most of the issues I had by editing the images leading me to believe these are successful as I am ultimately happy with how they look, and even for those that may not look as visually appealing I believe they convey important moods that fit with the magazine.
