Magazine Name Ideas

As I continue to work and build on my magazine concept I have started to brainstorm names that I think will capture what I want my magazine to be about and catch people's eyes as I bring attention to the struggles of many animals. These names include:

• Animals Illustrated

• Wildlife Illustrated

• The Wild Side

• Animal Times

I came up with these names because they are more general and broad and give me room to experiment I bit more with what I include in my magazine instead of limiting myself to a specific subgenre. I also feel these names are professional which is an aspect I want for my magazine so it may be ideal to keep the names simple. Due to them being more simple although, names like Animals Illustrated and The Wild Side have been used for other things but not magazines.

• In-Dangered Species

This name is a play on the phrase "endangered species" as it is spelled In-Dangered implying that the animals are literally in danger rather than conveying the idea that they are close to extinction.

• Crying Critters

For this name I wanted something simple and catchy that was more specific to what I intend to have in my magazine and felt that because I would be talking about their struggles, Crying Critters fit with the theme.

• Species Struggle for Survival

I wanted to play with the idea of having alliteration in this name after being inspired by Crying Critters and felt this name touched on what exactly would be discussed in the magazine although it may be too wordy.

• Animals In Need

This name is very simple and I felt as if it captivates the theme of the magazine without being too overbearing.

All in all, I enjoyed brainstorming names for my magazine and while I am not sure which one I will be choosing, the ones I am leaning towards are In-Dangered Species, Crying Critters, and Animals In Need.
